| Following the talk entitled 'The Essex Air
Ambulance' presented by W.Bro. Lee Gillam at the last Essex Masters'
Lodge, W. Bro. Bob Ballantyne came back to his Lodge and urged the
membership to make a generous donation. During his proposition he gave a précis
of the talk and informed the Brethren that he had learned that Saffron Walden
is the third most attended area in Essex, for emergencies by the air
ambulance. He also advised that a donation of £250.00 would keep the helicopter
in the air for approx one hour and potentially save one life. The donation
was unanimously approved and a cheque was presented to Peter Parker, one
of the Essex Air Ambulance volunteer 'backroom boys'. |
