United Fairway Lodge No 9094 - Sponsor Junior Golf Competition

Saffron Walden Freemasons sponsored a Mixed Junior Golf Competition at the Saffron Walden Golf Club on Sunday 9th June.

Bro. Walter McLellan, who runs the Junior section at the Saffron Walden Golf Club, organised a 18 hole stroke play competition in which he and other members of the United Fairway Lodge acted as caddies for the juniors.

A new silver trophy, The 'Masters Cup', was donated by a past master of Walden Lodge, W.Bro. Brian Newman and received on behalf of the Golf Club by Mr. John Snodgrass, Chair of the Club.

The Chair then presented the cup to the winner of the competition, Adam Brown.

Another Cup donated by W.Bro. Brian Newman was also received by Golf Club Chair, John and was to due to be played for by the E.G.G.S. (Elderly Gentleman's Golf Society), the senior golfers section of the Club. Both trophies will be competed for on an annual basis.
