P.G.M. holds Press Conference 'Freemasonry in the Community' at Church Street 
The Provincial Grand Master, Rt. W. Bro. Col.  Sir Neil Thorne OBE, TD, DL, held a press conference in Freemasons' Hall, Church Saffron Walden, as part of a county wide Freemasonry awareness leading up to Freemasonry in the Community Week commencing, 28th June 2002.

Sir Neil took part in a telephone interview with Ronnie Barber of  BBC Cambridgeshire Radio and was asked some searching and pertinent questions by the award winning presenter of their Breakfast Show.

Sir Neil who was later joined by V. W. Bro. V.W.Bro. Colin Bradley, Deputy Provincial Grand Master, and W.Bro. B.C.Wright BSc. Provincial Media Secretary, for the afternoon meeting with the local Press together with the Town's Mayor who had also been invited to attend. The guests were shown the Lodge Room and it's furniture and saw some local masons of various ranks dressed in their regalia.
